Watching

Whether it’s the men’s CiCLE Classic, Women’s or Junior’s CiCLE races, there is always something amazing to see. The thrills and spills of racing a ‘Belgian classic’ style race on your doorstep is something very special and not to be missed.

If you decide to come along to spectate, there are a number
of areas along the course and at the start and finish for you to sample the atmosphere. There are also catering facilities throughout the course should you wish to seek sustenance
during the excitement of the race.

Both the Women’s and Junior races start and finish in Melton Mowbray so you can make a day of it, visiting the beautiful Leicestershire town. Watch the start of the race and the end
 without moving too far.

For the men’s CiCLE Classic international race, you can watch
the start from Oakham and travel around the course to meet
the riders throughout before seeing the finish return to Oakham for the first time since the race began 20 years ago.

For the Classic there are certain fan zones along the route where you can drink, eat and join others in cheering on the riders as
they take on one of the hardest races in the UK calendar.

What about a visit to Wymondham Windmill to watch the race?

If you haven’t been to the race before, go on and have a day
out. After all, it is the closest you will get to watching a Belgian Classic in the UK. It is ‘The British Classic’ and there really isn’t anything like it.
